If you think you might be interested in joining the Parma Republican Committee here is a description of the process and also the responsibilities of membership.
The first step is to email us: contact@parmagop.org expressing your interest. You must, of course, be a registered Republican to join. If you are registered with another party or not registered, let us know and we will provide you with a voter registration form. The next step would be to attend a few meetings. The committee meets once a month on the third Wednesday at 7 PM in the Parma Town Hall. When you attend your first meeting please stop at the front table and introduce yourself. The meetings generally last about one hour and are followed by refreshments and open discussion. After attending a few meetings if it feels like a good fit to you and us we will invite you to participate as an associate. Associates who get along well with the group and lend a hand in our political activities can expect to be offered a place on the committee when one is available. By law we are limited to four committee positions for each of the 15 election districts in Parma.
The responsibilities of a committee person or an associate who aspires to a committee position are:
Attend meetings
Vote for the candidates of your choice at town and county conventions (Committee person only)
Carry petitions in our annual petition drive
Lend a hand in our booth at the Hilton Carnival and Applefest
Support our candidates by distributing signs, literature, etc.
